Founded in 1991 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana by Matt Chambers, Confederate Motor Company set out to create machines utilizing a holistic, avant-garde process for celebrating the art of rebellion. American rebellion is adopted as fundamental to the pursuit of personal empowerment. We remain forever determined to challenge the establishmentarian view of what honest “new world” American industrial and mechanical design can be.

Our Brand

The core of our passion is rugged individualism.

At the center of our identity is the ancient character of David, from the mythical tale of David and Goliath. Its core message (as it is relevant to our mission) is about the individual's rebellion against tyranny. Our foundational mantra is therefore a triumph of the principles of individualism. Romantic zeal through self-expression is sought. Matters which concern short-term financial gain are not prioritized because this goal is driven by collective expression which is organically mediocre. American rebellion is adopted as fundamental to the pursuit of personal empowerment. We remain forever determined to challenge the establishmentarian view of what honest “new world” American industrial and mechanical design can be.

This cerebral and spiritual rebel initiative is our never-ending journey. Therefore no limit can be placed on how far we must go concerning the completion of one of our mechanized creations. Thusly, the possibility for takeaway or compromise does not exist. Only our actual best effort is possible.
